Home tour- A chic Manhattan, New York apartment!

This stylish 1,300-square-foot, two-bedroom Manhattan home belongs to Claiborne Swanson Frank and her husband James Frank. Her husband offered an excellent resource to aid the decorating process- his mother, Cynthia Frank. Cynthia is a design world insider and Elle Decor's contributing editor at large. Both she and Claiborne became fast friends.



Although having her mother-in-law as her decorating mentor, Claiborne was no stranger to the world of interior design either. She has grown up in homes decorated by the legendary designer Thomas Britt, and old family friend (and her godfather). While she had been influenced by Britt's sense of scale, color and texture, she envisioned a more casual environment for her first apartment with her husband.
